CHRISTMAS TOUR 2023

Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence

Let all mortal flesh keep silence

and with fear and trembling stand;

ponder nothing earthly-minded,

for with blessing in his hand

Christ, our God, to earth descendeth

our full homage to demand.

.

King of Kings, yet born of Mary,

as of old on earth he stood,

Lord of Lords in human vesture

in the body and the blood

he will give to all the faithful

his own self for heav’nly food.

Rank on rank the host of heaven

spreads its vanguard on the way

as the Light from Light, descendeth

from the realms of endless day,

That the pow’rs of hell may vanish

as the darkness clears away.

At his feet the six-winged seraph,

cherubim with sleepless eye,

veil their faces to His presence

as with ceaseless voice they cry:

“Alleluia, alleluia!

Alleluia, Lord Most High!”

“Alleluia, alleluia!

Alleluia, Lord Most High!”

O Holy Night

 O holy night! the stars are brightly shining;

It is the night of the dear Savior’s birth.

Long lay the world in sin and error pining,

Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth.

A thrill of hope- the weary world rejoices,

For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!

Fall on your knees! O hear the angel voices!

O night divine, O night when Christ was born!

O night, O holy night, O night divine!

Led by the light of faith serenely beaming,

With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.

So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming,

Here came the Wise Men from Orient land.

The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger,

In all our trials born to be our Friend.

He knows our need— to our weakness is no stranger.

Behold your King, before Him lowly bend!

Behold your King, before Him lowly bend!

Truly He taught us to love one another;

His law is love and His gospel is peace.

Chains shall He break, for the slave is our brother,

And in His name all oppression shall cease.

Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we;

Let all within us praise His holy name.

Christ is the Lord! Then ever! Ever praise we!

His pow’r and glory evermore proclaim!

His pow’r and glory evermore proclaim!

O holy night! the stars are brightly shining;

It is the night of the dear Savior’s birth.

Are You Weary

Are you weary, Are you languid

Are you found distressed?

“Come to Me” says One, “and, coming

Be at Rest”

Are you weary, Heavy laden?

Lay Your burden, Find His Rest

Has He marks to lead me to Him

If He be  my Guide?

In His feet and hands are wound prints

And His side

Is there diadem, as Monarch,

That His brow adorns?

Yes, a crown was placed upon Him

But of thorns

Are you weary, Heavy laden?

Lay Your burden, Find His Rest

If I find Him, if I follow

What have I to gain?

Many sorrows, many labors

Many pains

If I still hold closely to Him

What has He at last?

Sorrow vanquished, labor ended

Jordan passed

Are you weary, Heavy laden?

Lay Your burden, Find His Rest

Finding, following, keeping, struggling

Is He sure to bless?

Saints, Apostles, Prophets, Martyrs

Answer, Yes!

O Come O Come Emmanuel

O come, O come, Emmanuel,

and ransom captive Israel

that mourns in lonely exile here

until the Son of God appear.

Rejoice! Rejoice! Immanuel

shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, thou Rod of Jesse, free

thine own from Satan's tyranny;

from depths of hell thy people save,

and give them vict'ry o'er the grave.

Rejoice! Rejoice! Immanuel

shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, thou Dayspring come and cheer

Our spirits by Thine advent here;

disperse the gloomy clouds of night,

and death's dark shadows put to flight.

Rejoice! Rejoice! Immanuel

shall come to thee, O Israel.

Rejoice! Rejoice! Immanuel

shall come to thee, O Israel.

Little Children Wake and Listen

Little children, wake and listen!

Songs are breaking o'er the earth;

While the stars in heaven glisten,

Hear the news of Jesus' birth.

Long ago, to lonely meadows
Angels brought the message down
Still, each year, through midnight shadows,
It is heard in every town

What is this that they are telling
Singing in the quiet street?
While their voices high are swelling
What sweet words do they repeat?

Words to bring us greater gladness,
Though our hearts from care are free;
Words to chase away our sadness,
Cheerless though our hearts may be.

Christ has left His throne of glory
And a lowly cradle found
Well might angels tell the story
Well may be their words resound.

Little children, wake and listen!

Songs are ringing through the earth
While the stars in heaven glisten,
Sing with joy our Saviour's birth.

Sing with joy our Saviour's birth.

O Come All Ye Faithful

O come, let us adore him,

O come, let us adore him,

O come, let us adore him,

Christ the Lord!

O come, all ye faithful,

joyful and triumphant!

O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem!

Come and behold him,

born the King of angels.

O come, let us adore him,

O come, let us adore him,

O come, let us adore him,

Christ the Lord!

Sing, choirs of angels,

sing in exultation,

sing, all ye citizens of heav’n above!

Glory to God, all glory in the highest:

O come, let us adore him,

O come, let us adore him,

O come, let us adore him,

Christ the Lord!

Yea, Lord, we greet thee,

born this happy morning;

Jesus, to thee be all glory giv’n!

Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing:

O come, let us adore him,

O come, let us adore him,

O come, let us adore him,

Christ the Lord!

O come, let us adore him,

O come, let us adore him,

O come, let us adore him,

Christ the Lord!

For He alone is worthy

For He alone is worthy

For He alone is worthy

Christ the Lord

Silent Night

Silent night, holy night!

All is calm, all is bright

round yon virgin mother and child.

Holy Infant, so tender and mild,

sleep in heavenly peace,

sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent night, holy night!

Shepherds quake at the sight.

Glories stream from heaven afar,

heav’nly hosts sing, Alleluia!

Christ, the Savior, is born!

Christ, the Savior, is born!

Silent night, holy night!

Son of God, love’s pure light

radiant beams from thy holy face

with the dawn of redeeming grace,

Jesus, Lord, at thy birth,

Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.

Silent night, holy night!

Wondrous star, lend thy light;

With the angels let us sing

Alleluja to our King:

Christ, the Savior, is born!

Christ, the Savior, is born!

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

God rest you merry, gentlemen,

let nothing you dismay;

remember Christ, our Savior

was born on Christmas Day

to save us all from Satan's pow'r

when we were gone astray.

O tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy,

O tidings of comfort and joy.

In Bethlehem, in Israel

The blessed babe was born

And laid within a manger

Upon that blessed morn

of which His mother Mary

Did nothing take in scorn.

O tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy,

O tidings of comfort and joy.

From God our heav'nly Father

the blessed angel came

and unto certain shepherds

brought tidings of the same,

how that in Bethlehem was born

the son of God by name.

O tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy,

O tidings of comfort and joy.

Joy to the World

Joy to the world, the Lord is come!

Let earth receive her King;

Let every heart prepare Him room,

And heaven and nature sing.

And heaven and nature sing.

And heaven And heaven and nature sing.

Joy to the earth, the Saviour reigns;

Let men their songs employ;

While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains,

Repeat the sounding joy.

Repeat the sounding joy.

Repeat Repeat the sounding joy!

No more let sins and sorrows grow

Nor thorns infest the ground

He comes to make His blessings flow

Far as the curse is found

Far as the curse is found

Far as far as the curse is found!

He rules the world with truth and grace,

And makes the nations prove

The glories of His righteousness,

And wonders of His love.

And wonders of His love

And wonders, wonders of His love!

Approach My Soul

Approach, my soul, the mercy seat

where Jesus answers prayer;

there humbly fall before his feet,

for none can perish there.

Thy promise is my only plea;

with this I venture nigh:

thou callest burdened souls to thee,

and such, O Lord, am I.

O wondrous love! to bleed and die,

to bear the cross and shame,

that guilty sinners, such as I,

might plead thy gracious name!

Bowed down beneath a load of sin,

by Satan sorely pressed,

by war without and fears within,

I come to thee for rest.

Be thou my shield and hiding place,

that, sheltered near thy side,

I may my fierce accuser face,

and tell him thou hast died.

O wondrous love! to bleed and die,

to bear the cross and shame,

that guilty sinners, such as I,

might plead thy gracious name!

God Moves in Mysterious Ways

Deep in the unfathomable mines

Of never failing skill

He treasures up His bright design

And works His sovereign will

Ye fearful saints fresh courage take

The clouds you so much dread

They’re big with mercy and shall break

In blessings on

your head

God moves in mysterious ways

His wonders to perform

He plants His footprints in the waves

And He rides upon the storm

Judge not the Lord by feeble sense

But trust Him for His grace

Behind a frowning providence

He hides a smiling face

His purposes will ripen fast

Unfolding every hour

The bud may have a bitter taste

But sweet will be

The flow’r

God moves in mysterious ways

His wonders to perform

He plants His footprints in the waves

And He rides upon the storm

Blind unbelief is sure to err

And scan His work in vain

God is His own interpreter

And He will make it plain

He will make it plain

God moves in mysterious ways

His wonders to perform

He plants His footprints in the waves

And He rides upon the storm

Is There Peace

Is there peace in this dark world of sin?

The blood of Jesus whispers peace within.

Is there peace with many duties pressed?

To do the will of Jesus, this is rest.

It is enough, Earth’s struggles soon shall cease

Jesus calls us to Heaven’s perfect peace.

Is there peace with sorrows surging round?

In Jesus’ embrace only calm is found.

Is there peace with loved ones far away?

In Jesus’ keeping we are safe.

It is enough, Earth’s struggles soon shall cease

Jesus calls us to Heaven’s perfect peace.

It is enough, Earth’s struggles soon shall cease

Jesus calls us to Heaven’s perfect peace.

Peace, Perfect Peace

Is there peace with the future all unknown?

Jesus we know and He is on the throne.

Is there peace with death shadowing us and ours?

Jesus has vanquished death and all its power.

It is enough, Earth’s struggles soon shall cease

Jesus calls us to Heaven’s perfect peace.

It is enough, Earth’s struggles soon shall cease

Jesus calls us to Heaven’s perfect peace.

Heaven’s perfect peace.

Heaven’s perfect peace.

Heaven’s perfect peace.

O For a Faith

O for a faith that will not shrink

Though pressed by many foes

That will not tremble on the brink

Of poverty or woe,

That will not murmur nor complain

Beneath the chastening rod,

But, in the hour of grief or pain,

Can lean upon its God

A Faith that shines more bright and clear

When tempest rage without,

That when in danger knows no fear,

In darkness feels no doubt;

A faith that keeps the narrow way

Till life’s last spark is fled,

And with a pure and heavenly ray

Lights up a dying bed!

Lord, give me such a faith as this,

And then whatev’er may come,

I taste even now the hallowed bliss

Of my eternal home.

I taste even now the hallowed bliss

Of my eternal home.

O Little Town of Bethlehem

O little town of Bethlehem,

how still we see thee lie!

Above thy deep and dreamless sleep

the silent stars go by;

yet in thy dark streets shineth

the Everlasting Light.

The hopes and fears of all the years

are met in thee tonight.

How silently, how silently,

the wondrous gift is giv’n!

So God imparts to human hearts

the blessings of his heav’n.

No ear may hear his coming,

but in this world of sin,

where meek souls will receive him, still

the dear Christ enters in.

O holy Child of Bethlehem,

descend to us, we pray,

cast out our sin and enter in,

be born in us today.

We hear the Christmas angels

the great glad tidings tell;

O come to us, abide with us,

our Lord Emmanuel!

O come to us, abide with us,

our Lord Emmanuel!

Is He Worthy

Do you feel the world is broken? (We do)

Do you feel the shadows deepen?(We do)

But do you know that all the dark won't

Stop the light from getting through? (We do)

Do you wish that you could see it all made new? (We do)

Is all creation groaning? (It is)

Is a new creation coming?(It is)

Is the glory of the Lord to be the light within our midst? (It is)

Is it good that we remind ourselves of this? (It is)

Is anyone worthy? Is anyone whole?

Is anyone able to break the seal and open the scroll?

The Lion of Judah who conquered the grave

He is David's root and the Lamb who died to ransom the slave

Is He worthy? Is He worthy?

Of all blessing and honor and glory

Is He worthy of this?

He is

Does the Father truly love us? (He does)

Does the Spirit move among us? (He does)

And does Jesus, our Messiah hold forever those He loves?(He does)

Does our God intend to dwell again with us? (He does)

Is anyone worthy?

Is anyone whole?

Is anyone able to break the seal and open the scroll?

The Lion of Judah who conquered the grave

He is David's root and the Lamb who died to ransom the slave

From every people and tribe

Every nation and tongue

He has made us a kingdom and priests to God

To reign with the Son

Is He worthy? Is He worthy?

Of all blessing and honor and glory

Is He worthy? Is He worthy?

Is He worthy of this?

He is! He is! He is! He is!

Is He worthy? Is He worthy?

He is! He is! He is!

Is He Worthy?
